Our screen enclosures start with painted
aluminum extrusion that is used to frame
the opening. The aluminum allows for an
enclosure that is maintenance free since
you do not have to paint it, and unlike
wood, it will not rot over time. And as in
the picture to the left, it can be custom
colored via a durable powder coating
process.
The extrusion also incorporates a flat
spline to lock the screen in place.
Compared to most other systems that use
a round spline, the flat spline prevents
screen blow-out in heavy wind
conditions. See the picture of extrusion
and the flat spine to the left.
The flat spline also allows us to use
thicker, vinyl coated products such as "
tuff screen " which lasts longer than the
normal fiberglas screens typically used.
Lastly, the finished product looks GREAT!
